SMILES Final Call 2026 for STSM and Virtual Mobility

COST Action SMILES has opened its Final Call 2026 for Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) and Virtual Mobility (VM) to strengthen collaboration on ecosystem services in small and medium-sized European islands. STSMs involve a visit to a host institution in a different country, while VM supports online collaboration among Action members through mentoring, harmonisation of methods, protocol development, and data analysis. The call is open to postgraduate researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and professionals affiliated with public or private institutions, with priority given to Young Researchers and Innovators and applicants from Inclusiveness Target Countries. Applications are assessed as they are received and remain open until financing is available. Activities must be completed by 14 October 2026, and grant recipients must submit a scientific report after the mission; for final applications, the deadline is 15 October 2026.
